June 2009: We held a celebration Scottish Country Dance in
the village hall in Nethy Bridge, of 14 of friend John Drewry's
dances. Gary Morris who was visiting from NZ helped call some
of the dances.
This is the public world
premier of the dance called "Auchendean" which John
wrote for Ian when staying in the early days of converting the
building to a hotel.
May,
June & July: The year's wildlife theme continued - a
woodpecker came to tea and then brought a youngster to show it
some tricks ... then along came a red squirrel. We had 5 great
tits on the nuts together - probably a young family - and Painted
Lady & Tortoishell butterflies - the latter rare this year!
May
2009: We had a snow storm or two... here snow
blows off the shoulder of Cairngorm; The ski fields & Ptarmigan
Restaurant and contours of Bynack Beg show up well
Eric
worked on an animated gif for friends - quite proud of the result!
